Happy Valentine's Day!

Anson is one month old

Our precious bundle is no longer a light load now. He now weight 9 lbs 9 oz compares to 6 lbs 5 oz at birth. His weight gain rate is outstanding. He spits up and hiccups a lot and Dr. said this is absolutely normal for a "big eater" and an extreme rapid growing baby like him.

Mommy has been breastfeeding him and she loves the skin to skin contact every 2-3 hrs. This schedule keeps her very busy tho. Even though she might feel tough and exhausted in some freezing nights, she loves to cuddle and nurse bb anson EVERY single times. No matter how she enjoys it, it's time to try the bottle feed now before mommy goes back to work. Daddy took 3 wks off after Anson was born and now he's back to work. In order to keep the bonding going, he wakes up earlier every morning to change diaper and plays with him and gives lots of kisses and hugs to boy boy once he returns home.

Overall, Anson is a great baby. The luckiest parents couldn't have asked for more. Even Anson doesn't sleep a lot, he doesn't cry a lot either or we should say he doesn't cry for no reason. He can stay nice and calm in his crib for hrs and fall asleep by himself. Of course every baby has his cranky moments, we are lucky enough that it doesn't happen very often for this good bb.

For the past month, mommy followed the Chinese "moon sitting" tradition and didn't go out at all except for the Pediatrician appointments. She is now "officially" free to go out but to her her world her life has been changed. Now Anson is always her first priority, she enjoys staying home with the bb but at the same time, she can't wait to bring him out to explore the world. She recovers fast and well. All the visitors said she's back to her pre-pregnancy size (nah nah she doesn't think so) and she looks full of energy. Mommy and bb are doing wonderfully.

First manicure done

Daddy did the manicure. Mommy doesn't even have guts to look at the procedure. Anson probably wonders "Daddy, when's the time for pedicure for my "wong kam right foot?" kakaka.
